Build Sisterhood, Not Battlefields

Ok Ladies, Im starting March off walking heavy!  After all, it is Women’s History month and we are all History in the making! Hope you all are here for it because Im sliding into your inbox like a ray of sunshine with a message that needs to be shouted from the rooftops: we are not each other's enemies, competition, or problems. We've climbed mountains of expectation, battled rivers of prejudice, and walked through fire to get where we are. Why, in the name of Beyoncé's fiercest choreography, would we turn around and start throwing shade at each other?

Comparison, baby, that's the real enemy. It slithers in, whispering doubts in our ears, making us see other queens' triumphs as our failures. It tells us we're not enough, not worthy, not deserving of the dreams we hold close. It steals our joy, our focus, and our dreams. But here's the thing, sis: every single crown that adorns another queen's head lifts the entire village higher.

Now, I know it ain't easy. We live in a world that thrives on pitting us against each other. They tell us the pie of success is small, and only a few can have a slice. But that's a lie, ya’ll! Our table is vast, overflowing with blessings big enough to nourish every single one of us. And you know what? When we share, the feast only gets sweeter.

Imagine this: we're all walking different paths, on different mountains, with different views. Comparing our climb to someone else's is like trying to compare the sunrise over the ocean to the sunset over a desert. They're both breathtaking, awe-inspiring, and happening in their own sacred space.

So, let's stop squinting at each other's peaks and start celebrating the beauty of our individual journeys. Let her CEO title be a beacon of inspiration, not a source of envy. Let her rockin' braids remind you of your own inner crown, not a reason to doubt your own beauty.

Instead of comparing, let's celebrate. Cheer each other on, sisterhood style. Send a virtual high five when she lands that promotion, leave a heartfelt comment on her stunning artwork, and offer a prayer of support when she faces a storm. Remember, our victories are not zero-sum games. When one sister shines, thats hope, that’s beauty.

And listen, this ain't just about being nice. This is about survival. We were built for community.

And when doubt whispers, when comparison tries to rear its ugly head, turn to your sisters. Share your fears, your vulnerabilities, your dreams. Let their faith be your strength, their laughter your balm, their wisdom your compass. In community, in sisterhood, we find the courage to be vulnerable, the power to rise above, and the grace to uplift each other with every step.

Here's how we can practice what we preach:

  • Practice gratitude. Instead of envying another woman's blessings, be grateful for your own. Write down your victories, big and small. Celebrate your own unique journey.

  • Offer support, not judgment. When a sister stumbles, extend a hand, not a critical eye. Offer words of encouragement, prayers of faith, and a shoulder to lean on.

  • Celebrate diversity. We come in all shapes, sizes, and shades. Embrace the richness of our differences. Let our stories weave together to create a tapestry of vibrant strength.

  • Remember, we're in this together. We're not competitors; we're teammates on this journey of life. Let's support each other, uplift each other, and rise together as a force of unstoppable love and light.

Remember, you are not alone. You have a whole army of phenomenal women standing beside you, cheering you on, and praying for your success. Now, go forth and shine your beautiful light, knowing that your sisterhood is always here, ready to catch you if you fall and celebrate you when you soar. We already fight enough we refuse to fight each other. Remember, your success doesn't diminish mine, it amplifies the symphony of our collective brilliance.

Now, go forth and be the light that shines brighter for having another sister by your side. And remember, I'm always here, cheering you on every step of the way.

With love and fierce sisterhood,

Coach Shan
